A pleasant resort in the prealps of the canton of Fribourg, a few miles away from the world famous lake of Geneva. Agreable freshness and well-being are provided by broad forest and the mountain air. It is the country of rich cream, mountain cheese and that marvellous dish "cheese fondue". Summer and winter alike, the air is invigorating. It is the ideal spot for healthful, enjoyable holidays.

Châtel-St-Denis is a small town, catering for both Winter and Summer visitors. It has a wide range of shops and restaurants, a well-known church and a castle.

This area offers a good selection of walks, generally of a fairly undemanding nature. Really, to appreciate the area fully, some walking is a good idea and it need not to be too strenuous if combined with one of the mountain trains or cable-cars.
