Les Paccots / Châtel-St-Denis

Discover the Fribourg Pre-Alps, a lush green region close to Lake Léman, ideal for summer hiking and winter sports. The ski slopes are well groomed and suitable for all levels. Cross-country skiers will also find trails in an enchanting setting.

This is the land of creamy cheese, mountain Gruyère, Vacherin and tasty fondues. Tranquillity, fresh air, the healthy pleasures of summer walks or downhill and cross-country skiing, tennis, swimming, the pleasures of the table… all in the heart of French-speaking Switzerland, between 800 and 2000 m, the altitude best suited to healthy vacations and stays.

Gruyères is also home to the world-famous HR Giger Museum, with its famous museum-style café.

At the foot of the village of Gruyères lies the modern Pringy demonstration cheese dairy. Also nearby, the Cailler / Nestlé chocolate factory in Broc, with its chocolate museum, awaits your visit. At the top of the Moléson (2002 m), savor the extraordinary view or visit the stars from the observatory.
